Fighting your team mate?

In Russia is very common to see guys of the same team fighting each other.
The goal is to determinate a hierarchy inside the team.

Good idea?

I believe this is fine as long as it is in the gym. Never in a real fight.

in mma, no way. If it was a sub tourney, bjj tourney, or judo tourney, then yes I would.

In a real fight is just a bad idea- the people you train with are supposed to want to help you get better... they're not going to want you to get better if they're fighting you.

red devil team members have fought each other. they didn't go 100% on the striking but went all out of the ground. Its hard to punch your friends.

Teammates fighting can lead to "works" and not allout fighting...case in point the russians Semenov vs. Suloev who fought each other......

in mma, no way. If it was a sub tourney, bjj tourney, or judo tourney, then yes I would.

That's exactly how I feel.

I run a small weekly amatuer show in Iowa and one night we had 2 cousins who train together fight, it was some wild shit.

No reason to fight outside the school to determine a hiearchy... that is done IN the school

It leads to bad blood on a team no matter how you look at it

Red Devil has done works when thye have MMA against each other like Seminev-Suliev
