Budget for the effort is $0, but if anyone wants to add their name (and links) to the history books by profiling a nominee, choose one or more of the names below, by "dibsing" it below.
Ideal submission is one to five paragraphs or so, that highlights some of the the figure's accomplishment sufficient to warrant nomination.
Please submit the piece by emailing to me at Kirik@MMA.tv within a three days. If you can't do the paragraphs within three days, then wait to dibs until you can please.

Oh man. I originally dibsed Master Carlson, then flaked. Felt terrible about it. Someone else dibsed later, I think it was a Carlson Gracie Team black belt, so I figured all's well that ends well -- but it looks like he flaked too.
RKing85 - I know those are just nominations, but there are some names there that I wouldn't put anywhere near a nomination list even.
I am a little bummd that the first reply to an effort intended to honor people with extraordinary contributions to the sport is a reference to people that the OP doesn't feel have given enough. IT's the UG, and everyone has to contribute something I guess.
Nomination is pretty open ended. There are up to 25 nominations for each year, and 4-7 make it, so it is pretty much math that some names are not likely to make it.
