Finally had my first fantasy draft of the year

pick apart my team. 12 team money league

Starters:

qb- Mike Vick

rb- Ray Rice

rb- Shonn Green

wr- Andre Johnson

wr- Marques Colston

flex- DeSean Jackson

te- Jason Witten (I don't care if he misses a game or two, I got him in the 7th round that is a STEAL)

defense- JETS

kicker- Nick Folk (jets offense sucks, he will kick a lot of field goals)

BENCH:

qb-carson palmer

rb- michael bush

rb- roy helu

wr- michael crabtree

te- dustin keller

some thoughts: I am HUGE on Vick this year after last years injury plagued season and preseason I just have a hunch he is gonna actually stay healthy. To get a guy in the 3rd round who has a chance to be the highest scoring fantasy player is what wins you leagues. Obviously a huge risk but I am a risk taker

shonn green is the only pick I really wish I could have back, I should have taken welker in that spot

I think desean has a big year now that he got his contract

crabtree has supposedly looked great in camp/preseason and is finally injury free

I like your team other than Vick and Green. That is more than likely a top 6 team in your league. Looks like we both have Ray Rice. I hope he tears it up like he usually does!

my exact sentiments. i was liking vick till his recent hand injury. green i dont know enough about. and rice is always at least a 12pt a game back. overall nice team.

He hurt his hand and then a game or 2 later he took a big hit and had to come out of the game and get an X-RAY of his rib area. Luckily it was negative.. but the point is.. the dude takes some shots and could easily get taken out. I could see him trying to do too much and then get a serious injury.

I too was high on as like a 6th round pick in fantasy but by the time our draft came around I couldn't pick him. He went in like the 2nd round of my draft anyway. I would take him over Romo and RIvers this year though.

i respectfully disagree about Vick.

Yes, he is an injury concern BUT if he stays healthy he could be the top scoring player in all of fantasy football. When you get a guy who can do that in the 3rd round thats how you win leagues.

Plus, I don't care if he gets injured and misses a couple of games as long as he is healthy for the playoffs, thats all that matters anyway

Umm no, I'm talking about fantasy playoffs and no I am not an Eagles fan and happen to HATE vick more than any professional athlete im the world but this year the value on him was right so I will hitch my wagon to him in order to win $$$ Phone Post

Rice is elite even in non-PPR, but 6 points for a passing TD means Brady, Brees and Rodgers are likely to outscore Vick.

Yeah, that would be a VERY safe bet. I personally take an elite QB with the top 3 picks in a draft but if someone wants to take an elite RB I don't bust their chops. I see both points of view. The thing is a RB is a lot more likely to get hurt (Groin, knee, hamstring, etc) than a QB that takes substantially more hits. So in my mind the safer pick is the elite QB who delivers year in and year out with little chance of injury. (Rodgers, Brady, Brees, etc)

I had first pick in the draft and I took Rodgers.. I then got Richardson, Charles, and Lynch with my next 3 picks. I then traded Charles and Lynch for RIce. Now I have 2 top 3 picks.

What do your WRs look like?
