Is North Dakota the first state with a separate MMA Commission?
I dont think anybody here knows anything about MMA, but they love t0 bitch about everything. So good luck finding answer here.

that will be decided in a couple of weeks I believe, they still need more people to be on the Commission.

i would guess so, ive never heard of an mma commission. most regulated states just use the boxing or athletic commission

This will be a commission under the Athletic commission but will be separate. It will have its own special fund and own commissioners
The Ohio boxing commission has now sanctioned mma and is having an open mma summit meeting in Columbus Monday Dec 5th. Ohio has had several mma shows that went really well with the commission being apart of it.

hawaii hasn't formed a commission for mma yet. the dept. of commerce is responsible for the whole thing and they are planning on having the boxing commission regulate mma(f'ng great :-() hearings will probably go on sometime next year for this. You're not here in Hawaii are you? When they do have the hearings, it'd be good if all the informed mma'rs make it down there. fctv
any fighters that can make it to the summit will help the sport out. I encourage everyone to go and show the boxing commision that mma is growing and that is a great sport with graet fighters and fans.
