First time Rumble has overcome adversity?

Was last night the first time we’ve ever seen Rumble overcome real adversity in the cage? I can’t think of another time when he did.

He made it his bitch

Wow looks like I missed a good one!

Last time I saw rumble he was a super heavyweight. Good to see him back in fight shape. That’s a bad sign that hes getting rocked by no name bellator guys. He may have the Roy Jones Jr thing where all the weight fluctuations fucked him over as a fighter.

Thanks to McBain for posting.

People thought he looked good leading up the fight. I didn’t. I thought he looked too skinny compared to how he looked during his 205lb run. Looked like Weidman after he got smaller.

Yeah. I guess we need to see more. Hes been gone a long time. I have always been of the opinion that ring rust effects your defensive timing way more than it effects your offensive timing.

Time will tell if it was just ring rust, or if he is having problems.

He had some adversity when he went up to fight Arlivski, good fight

He did,he kept punching after the round ended

My all time Goldyism was “Overcoming Diversity”

Lol did he?? Haven’t watched it in awhile. I just remember loving Arlivskis pre fight talk. “My friends say Andre come drink with us! And I did.”

He kept punching and rocked Arlovski at the end of rd1 iirc

Well to be fair to Rumble most of his losses (or him failing to overcome adversity) came because of a BJJ Black Belt getting his back.

I don’t know that he’s ever had a weak heart over punches.

Cormier is brown belt just sharing info
