Fixed My Water Heater Today.

It was the dip tube.

I also discovered that my cold water shut off to the heater didn't do shit. I replaced that too.

My solder joints look like shit, but no leaks.

Pretty fun job to take care of.

Christmas lights go up tomorrow. Phone Post 3.0

Had my hot water heater for last weekend.

What are you doing for lights?

My Christmas lights are pretty simple. Around the garage door, around some windows, and around the man door.

I used to have a mechanical Denver bronco throwing a football, but he stopped working last year. I'll try to fix it, but it's probably garbage. 40 below wreaks havoc on those little plastic gears in those cheap motors. Phone Post 3.0

Lol i didnt realize i typed like a moran...meant to write that I had my water heater die on me last weekend, element was shot.

Yeah I guess that cold ass weather makes things tough. Pretty lucky here in BC with mild Temps. Do you do much for lights inside??

I love Christmas lights. Well I love drinking rum and egg nog and setting them up. I'm shooting for next weekend to get my stuff done....I was given a couple dozen little porcelain buildings for a city setup I'm gonna place around the base of my tree. I'm actually excited about it lol

2 years ago I spent 15 bucks replacing the corroded gas line going to the water heater about a week a later it leaked. Soaked through the walls in to the laundry room and 2 bedrooms. At that moment I was happy we were renting. Phone Post 3.0

I love those little winter village tree displays. I should get one.

We decorate our house for most occasions. Christmas is probably the biggest. We have more decorations than we can put out. Phone Post 3.0

Was that a skill you had or YouTube? YouTube is the daring homeowners best friend, lol. We've been in our house about 5 years now (both owned separately before) so we know the drill. Random disasters at the most inconvenient times. YouTube has taught me everything from fixing my dryer to bleeding my brakes.

Some much info on YouTube. I've diagnosed the problem and ordered the part without even having to take apart the dryer just from watching a few vids.

I knew enough to get by from asking people, but I skimmed a YouTube video to be safe.

YouTube has helped me lots around the house. Phone Post 3.0
