I don't think he fueled anyone.

I own a propane flame thrower. I use it for killing weeds. Phone Post 3.0

Danger Dave - Aren't they classified as a Class III "Destructive Device"?

The tech to build one is pretty low and readily available. I have seen a WWII one that was restored without the pilot light. It was loaded with water, so basically a giant super soaker - but the principles of projecting a fluid are the same.

No.

All of this is in the news because a reasonably priced flamethrower was recently crowdfunded.

As I mentioned on another thread, within a month of these things shipping (they might have just started), liberals are going to be all up in arms. Mark my words, a bunch of people who get these things are going to accidentally start brush fires--and then the liberals will be out in force.

I see no reason to ban them, although I'd support some regulations on their use (e.g. not in dry conditions). You can kill way more people with a pump hunting shotgun than with that flamethrower.

Julio Gonzalez killed EIGHTY SEVEN PEOPLE with less than a gallon of gasoline. Guy got bounced out of a bar, found a plastic bottle on the sidewalk, pumped himself some gas and torched the place.

To think that more laws and banning more objects are going to stop evil like this is laughable.

Yes, to think laws could make a difference in society is laughable. Good point. Phone Post 3.0

Didn't expect this to be such a hot topic Phone Post 3.0

Flamethrowers are highly useful against xenomorphs and the Thing.

Why would someone add more fuel to flames? Phone Post 3.0

The ones banning objects haven't worked out so well in this country.

See Baltimore and Chicago.

But if they make you feel "safe," by all means.
