Gustaffson won that fight 3-2. Jon Jones set out to prove that his reach was not a real factor to his success. Didn't quite work out as planned. Gus' footwork and reach played a major role in allowing him to hit Jones. His hooks, jabs, and uppercuts landed consistantly and his takedown defense (and offense) was shocking.
Regardless, we all witnessed the fight of the year tonight and two true warrior spirits. Lets take this moment to say good things about the two LHWs
Was a great exciting 5 round fight. Period.
IMO you want to be champ you need to decisively take that belt. If it's ever close it's going to the champ.

To the people claiming its proof jones is only good due to his reach this clearly shows otherwise. He was in the cage with someone who is on paper a better striker with similar reach and without wrestling he found a way to win

I think most people thought Jones had the striking advantage. he was -800 or something crazy. But he certainly came through in the champion rounds and deserves respect for that.
