For those that complain about teacher salary

My sister teaches 5th grade in rural Ga. She makes about 64k a year. How is it that some people think that paying teachers a little more brings in smarter and better teachers?

64k and off june july and almost all of august seems pretty sweet

Let's see some pics first

But does she suck off her students? That's the real question here. Phone Post 3.0

64K seems extremely high. Good for her. My wife was only making 36K when she was teaching here in AZ.
I just realized I have nothing of note to add or argue here...not sure why I'm posting....oh and she wasn't fooling around with her students (2nd grade) but there was a large man of color she spent nights lesson planning with Phone Post 3.0

And how much of her money does she spend out of her pocket for classroom stuff, that should be paid by the school?

How many hours does she actually work during a week, counting time working at home (grading, etc.)?

And, if she's making 64K, she's way over the national average... Phone Post 3.0

Yea 64m seems really high.

She has been a teacher with the same district for a long time, id assume, no? Phone Post 3.0

^^ I concur with the last part, certainly over national average Phone Post 3.0

Wtf is a "Teacher of Mild Intellectual" and why are some of them being paid almost $90K/year? Is that a teacher that is mildly intelligent, or a teacher that is teaching mild intellectuals?

Ohhh boy, it must piss off a lot of Georgians that the top 4 earning professors in Georgia have the last names Choudhri, Kumar, Kamath, and Chung, with the top earner pulling in over $1.5M/year, lol

When I was a teacher, I started out at over 100k/year, and I was never even a teacher. Phone Post 3.0

Been with them for 15+ years. Masters degree and specialist degree Phone Post 3.0

What did you teach and where?

How did they let you around kids?

I have so many questions Phone Post 3.0

Whatever they're on now they deserve more for putting up with the cunts in class day in day out, not to mention the brain dead parents and the political bullshit that comes with the educational system. Phone Post 3.0

Its a matter of being unionized and in the same district a number of years...find me a welder or electrician who have been unionized for a long time and not making a preposterous amount of $$... Phone Post 3.0
