I prefer standing and passing, but sometimes, and more recently, I've been doing low level passing. That is fine and my low level/passing from knees is fine, but I feel more dynamic from standing. Does anyone have a drill or anything they do to force or remind themselves to stand to pass? Thanks!

I just practice trapping an arm and standing up with front leg on that side and lifting the guy up thru a windshield wiper style squat. great drill to do to different sides, and basic

I'm 6' 270, I rarely get to train with bigger guys, unless I hit up an open mat somewhere.

Are you not able to remind yourself to stand when you are passing? Not trying to be a ass- just asking.
If so, you might just need to slow down your training so you can remind yourself to do so.

This is exactly the problem. My passing on the ground is good and I started playing more bottom passing like 2 yrs ago, but I want to get into standing to break and pass again. It's just getting my brain to say stand up you ass. Since I'm bigger I usually play bottom. So maybe I just need to play top off the bat more.

I'm going to have to...everyone is starting to shutdown my Reis pass ...:(
