Ford Mustang Station Wagon

Station wagons aren't exactly in vogue these days, but there was a time that they were so popular that even the sporty Ford Mustang almost sired one. With an all-new 'Stang on the way soon, we take a look at what almost was, and what could be.

It still might happen

Fucking wonderfully horrible

The wood panels would make it pop bigtime though

new one looks more like a hatchback, but I wish they'd bring the el camino back. awesome car.

some amazing visibility out of the back skylight on that red one

I picture a guy like this driving the wood paneled chic magnet beauty

I really like the top car there.

My grandfather drove a red Volvo sport wagon for decades (like this one).

It was a thing of beauty.

Holden makes the Ute which would have been brought over as the el camino

notsobigmike - Yeah, the new one isn't really all that different from sport wagons like the WRX.

They should totally bring back the El Camino, though. With cars going through the retro design phase, I can't believe no one has jumped on that one.
They make one in Australia, and it is powered by a Gm engine. Phone Post

just call it a hatch and be done with it

actually, a supercharged 5.8L V8 rear wheel drive wagon is nothing like a turbocharged 4 cylinder hatchback with AWD, but whatever

P1800s are cool little cars. Especially the wagons.

Old wagons are huge these days among car collectors.
