Forearms splints on tire flips???

Dont know if many of ya do the tire flips like you'd see on world strongest man, but receintly got my hands on a 4-500lb tire, the thing is freakin bad azz, any way I was playing around with it and the first time I lifted/flipped it, it felt like I broke both wrists!! The only thing I could compare it too is shin splints, or wrist pain from real heavy curls. I do own wrist wraps, and I'll use them next time, but do you have any suggestions or exp with this prob??

don't lift up, push forward and the tire will do the work. I scrapped the skin inside my forearms but did not hurt myself flipping a tire (I only started recently). I weigh 160-165 and was flipping 550lbs tires, its all in technique and hip power

MS is correct. Drive your hips into the tire using your glutes and hammies. Wrist straps won't do anything for you with a tire.

Where do you find the exact weight of the tire? I checked the tire, but couldnt find nothing. The tire is roughly 6 feet. Anyone have info on where I find the weight of tires???

Sounds good, I noticed when I approached the tire like a sumo dead lift, it was much easier....I'll try driveing forward even more and see how that works, instead of lifting upwards. Exact weight of the tire could be found if you still have numbers or markings on the tire, my brother in law hooked me up with mine, but hasn't looked up the weight in the books yet, he works for a rental co, so they have boom tires and all kinds of stuff.

Thanks for the info fellas
