@ForrestGriffin: "I want to apologize to @titoortiz and his fans for fucking up his interview. It was an honor to be his final fight!"
Glad he apologized, but it was absolutely moronic to do it in the first place. Nobody wants to inverview Forrest after a meaningless close win over an aging fighter like Tito, and he knew that win or lose Tito was going to get the bulk of the attention and he couldn't handle it. lame
Lost some respect for Forrest after last night. Totally stole Tito's moment.
Too little too late, IMO. It's noble of the guy to apologize but that was a dick move. Ortiz should have been given the chance to address his fans, and get a proper send off. And I'm not even that big of a Tito fan. The guy deserves more respect though.
I totally missed this whole thing, but was reading another thread on it too. Is there a vid floating around?
I lost respect for him permanently. That's not an apology. That's that shit your kids do when they say "well, I'm soooorrry dad."
THE APOLOGY HE SHOULD HAVE POSTED:
"I made a completely moronic error last night and permanently tarnished Tito's final moment in the octagon. I know I can't take it back, but if there is somehow at all, that I can make up for it I want Tito to know I'm willing to do so.
As an athlete I understand how difficult and emotional it can be to 'hang up your gloves' and that deserves a level of respect that I failed to consider. I hope TITO's fans will forgive me and Zuffa will give me the opportunity to redeem myself."
that whole thing went from being an "ok" last fight to a total shit storm when Forrest left the cage.
Authority Figure - I lost respect for him permanently. That's not an apology. That's that shit your kids do when they say "well, I'm soooorrry dad."

Well written.
I was there live and couldn't hear shit.
What exactly happened? Did he say anything disrespectful towards Tito?
Forrest said something to Helwani like, "I don't think. I go by emotion."
What a clown and what a horrific mentality. That type of mentality is going to get him in a lot of trouble.
KZTT_Hocky Balboa - I was there live and couldn't hear shit.

it has more to do with what he did and how he did it.
Forrest is a goofball. Maybe he's just trying to use his name being "Forrest" and him running as his new gimmick. He should go train at Alpha Male with Sgt. Dan.
Tito ruined the moment when he opened his mouth and wore that rediculous helmet.
Tito will never get that moment back, and neither will his fans.
Very disappointed that Forrest did that. I wish Joe would've taken the mic back.
The only thing forrest did wrong was save tito from embarrassing himself in another interview. Tito has on many occasion done what forrest is accused of doing.
Btw did tito say its my last fight of the night?

Vtfu (if I could)
I was trying to figure out what the fuck he was thinking...
I gave him the benefit of the doubt ...maybe he was thinking:
1. I will leave the ring and let Tito have an emotional send off (--I actually thought they might do something in the ring for Tito, bring Dana in to say thanks or something...
2. I then realized that wasn't a good idea, came back to the ring but wanted to show respect by interviewing him instead of taking interview time myself...then that backfired.
But he hasn't said any of that...which leads me to believe it wasn't some respectful gesture gone wrong.
Forrest seeks to entertain. He felt he let himself down with the fight, hence him leaving the cage.
Then he thought he would salvage his self-esteem by interviewing a HOF, which happens to be the guy he just fought with.
He was loving what he was doing during the interview - you could even see him winking at someone off-screen, possibly Joe.
It was one of the most uncomfortable sporting moments I can recall.
Rogan should've interviewed Tito rather than Forrest.
Sad and very bizarre.
