I didn't really know the guy, but... From the Antelope Valley Courier website:

 

"Todd Douglas Shen (Snayheaver) 

Todd Shen, 44, of Palmdale Heights, CA passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, Feb 5th. Found partially clothed in his former step-mother Amber's Kuntz's closet, the cause of death was ruled, "accidental strangulation due to misadventure".

Mr. Shen graduated with perfect attendance from Palmdale Adult Continuation School in 1991.

A lifelong collector of Beanie Babies™, he was considered a subject matter expert on late 90's era "Cubbie the Bear" identification.

Known to students as "Supreme Ultimate Grandmaster Soke & Dai Sifu", the martial arts are where Todd Shen excelled. As both 26th generation inheritor & founder of the "Shaolin KajuShenBo Royal Hawaiian Kara-te Kempo-Kai System", he established the Shendokan Dojo inside the Palmdale "Curves", owned by his late aunt, Dottie. An early adopter of internet training methods, he granted 3,414 Black Belts during his lifetime, despite a severe cotton allergy which precluded him from ever stepping on a mat.

In addition to martial arts pursuits, during his short time on earth, Mr. Shen also created many different products, programs and classes, including Shenderslim™ and Pet-SAFE! –a personal safety workshop to counter pet on owner aggression. (Mr. Shen was himself the survivor of a cat attack in 1997.) A life-long bachelor, he authored over one hundred e-books, on various topics. Titles include: "Tantric Massage 4 Kidz" & "Code Black: Dealing with People of Color on Public Transportation."

He is survived by half- sister Darcy "D-dog" Gilbert, of Chowchilla and convicted serial arsonist half-brother Ron Snayheaver of Chino. He is also survived by three beloved, purebred Show Turtles, "Ninja", "Ronin" and "Mayor McSnuggle". A memorial will be held at Roundtable Pizza in the Archwood Shopping Center on February, 22nd."

this is bullshit. I don't think it is possible for shen to die. clearly some kind of insurance scam. I can't wait for him to make his triumphant return to the forums and really give the what for to this Perry Hauck character that nobody's ever seen post despite his ridiculous post count. if shen really has passed he left us with one last lesson...how to write your own obituary. true visionary

Look, I don't know the guy. I was just posting something I saw online.

Apparently some little kid from the Shenkwando or whatever kid's class INSISTS that he saw his teacher, this shen dude, at a doughnut shop, saturday well AFTER he allegedly died. Now, maybe the kid is nuts, maybe he's lying. I don't know.

What I heard was when the kid approached him to say "hi" (the kid didn't know he was dead), the shen guy didn't speak a word, just took off some special yin/yang necklace and handed it to the kid. The kid was shocked. When the kid looked up, the guy was gone. Kid swears it's true, but who knows? The kid has the neckalce, maybe he stole it. I don't really give a f@ck.

This is what I heard from my GF's friend who cuts hair for the kid's mom's sister. 

Like I said, I have no dog in this fight and honestly could not care less.

Oh my god! I never knew this was Shen's true identity the entire time.

I have met plenty of people who have rolled with Todd. They say his core and grip strength is inhuman. He was such a fan of David Carradine. It's almost poetic that he went out just like his hero.

His legend shall live on.
