Really, you'll only have on X active at any point, so the focus is whether or not you've got a Y sittin there. If you do, you'll undergo alot of male development early on, which is why transgender competition worries me.
It can be countered later on with hormone therapy and surgical intervention, but much of what is permanently altered during embryogenesis and post-natal development is very difficult to counter...
