From Paul Magno's article:
"The Mayweather-Mosley card is testament to this fact. The estimated buy rate is expected to be around the 2 million mark and the numbers wouldn’t have likely changed much whether there were 5-star classics on the undercard or not. Boxing fans are accustomed to the situation and don’t even expect much anymore from the PPV prelims. They simply turn to HBO or Showtime or FOX, ESPN, etc for the second and third-tier fights that they want."

Does this make more sense than 1.1 or 1.2 million?
the source on 1.1 or 1.2 was Kevin Iole
so if it was wrong or a flatout lie it would not be surprising
ttt for "Money" Mayweather!
Estimated based on numbers from the providers, or estimated in advance of the event?
The article came out today.......so I would assume he would have had some sort of reason to write that.
ttt
sounds more like it
Fox never gets anything right so I trust Iole's article more.
I don't trust Fox and I don't trust Kevin Iole.
So I don't know what to believe.
Dan Rafael will have a real estimate tomorrow I'm sure.....That should settle it.
Why do they need to "estimate" anything? Shouldn't the actual numbers be out by now?
.
TTT for later.

The totals will include replays and the numbers from smaller providers take a little longer to get. It will be another week or so before more concrete numbers come out.
Franklin McNeil is saying 1.2 mil as well.
