This issue is simple watch the tape and note this, Franca doesn't stop his punches nor does he pause his action while trying to take josh's head off. He doesn't finish him when he had the chance.

ROBBED!!! Less than a second transpired (those frames show 8/30's of a second) during Landless's movements

The video shows that Landless's mistake (it was a mistake) did not disrupt the flow of the action. The pix can give an appearance as though Josh is turtled up eating punches. But he was in that position for perhaps a second at most (and I literally mean a second).
