There’s a fantastic lightweight match-up brewing between Frank Edgar (10-1) and Kurt Pellegrino (14-4) targeted for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 Finale scheduled for the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 5.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s “MMA Live” host Jon Anik and MMAmania.com has since confirmed that bout agreements were distributed but are yet to be signed.

should be a good fight, but it is a step down for Frankie at this point in his career. he should be re-matching Maynard or getting Florian instead of Guida. (but i guess if he can't beat Florian, a new light-weight challenger disappears, so maybe this is build-up fight for Edgar expected to win and get a title shot if Maynard loses to Huerta)

i like Kurt and all, but he needs to string a couple wins together before getting a top contender like Edgar.

 Definitey a step down for Frank. They seem fairly evenly matched but in the ring I think Frank will be a much better wrestler and better boxer. Another win for Edgar.

 Nothing against Pellegrino as hes a good fighter but Frankie should be a notch higher right now

They are setting Edgar up for a title shot IMO...and if Kurt wins then they've got him as a contender who is one fight away from a shot.

I'll be the first to take Kurt.  I like Edgar, but I think Pelligrinos gonna suprise alot of people in this fight.

how? Kurt has a high level BJJ game but he's not out wrestle Edgar and put him on his back. I doubt he's going to sub him from the bottom either

Kurts a great fighter and I'm a fan but I cant see him winning this one
