UFC wasn't offering him crap when he retired.. He made less than 200k (way less) for the Tito fight and it took him holding out for nearly a year to get as much $$ as he could from them.
Not that it was UFC being the devil, they were off cable and broke as hell at the time.

From what I remember, it was a 1 fight deal for Sakuraba, and PRIDE kept giving him the contract that said 'Sakuraba or like opponent'.
