people tend to underestimate bisping... he's got great skills... but unfortunately he doesnt have a great chin and that's why he loses to the top fighters even though he handles the jobbers. Bisping is Andersons greatest highlight reel waiting to happen.
Zuffa protects bisping because they need a better TV deal in the UK. Stylistically, Boetsch was a great fight for bisping. I dont know about franklin... he's coming off a long layoff so who knows what he's gonna look like.
Stylistically the best fights for bisping at 185 are: Tim Boetsch, Munoz and Weidman.
Belcher would kick the crap out of him. I think the winner of wand/franklin will fight belcher.
Agree with OP, it would be a good fight for both guys, but I'm certain if Bisping wins everyone on here will say Franklins not top 5.

Bisping's best win is Kang.
Franklin has beaten Tanner, Okami, Chuck, Wanderlei, so I think Franklin would be a no brainer. 
Why should Franklin have to take a step backwards and fight Bisping? If Bisping gets a few wins under his belt then he can earn a shot at Franklin IMHO.
MdGeist -I think he had the right game plan against a high calibre wrestler but there were more encouraging things to take from that fight than his wall and stall. Don't get me wrong I'm not one of these Bisping nut huggers who thought he won that fight but considering the way Chael manhandled Stann I think he did well. Yeah I agree with Bisping doing way better against Sonnen than what I anticipated. He's a veteran and he knows how to play the game to get wins, his defensive grappling is somewhat underrated

So because Bisping may have good TDD and is hard to hold down, doesnt mean that those skills will help him against a guy like Franklin. Bispings speed and cardio is the key, but I still dont think its enough to beat Rich.
UGCTT_Gaspare -Id agree to an extent but Bisping isn't too bad a striker and I think he's only improving, and Franklin is past his best. A win over Rich Franklin makes anyone at 185 the #2 in the division, other than a win over Chael Sonnen nobody is more incredible for your record.
they've been keeping Bisping away from Franklin for a reason. Franklin would probably KO him
