i washed 3 gis at once and now my washer wont spin. This is just a word of advice for you married guys. My wife has washed sheets,bed spreads,pillows,shoes and everything else you can imagine but my "dirty ass gis" broke it. I am certain i fried the clutch as i took it apart last night and looked at it.
she hates bjj and now i have to wash them at the laundary mat. life is good
You need a higher quality washer.
I bought a higher end front-loader & I wash 4 or 5 gis together every week.
I've put two in before and heard it groaning, i didn't dare chance the 3. The Mrs gives me evils when i wash my gis anyway, the last thing i would want to do is break the washer!

yea i heard it about to rotate off its axis but it was too late by the time i got there. I only had 2 at first but then i threw my sons in because he wanted to go to bjj that night. Being a good dad> being a good husband

thinking about it ..may turn out good for me. I can put a load in at laundary mat sneak off to bjj and then come back and get laundary. WIN

I never even thought about my gis. I regularly was 3 gis at a time. The washer is a front end loader and now sounds like a plane is taking off when it's in the spin cycle. I blamed it on her and the comforter. I'm not gonna say anything but it was probably my gis that knocked it out of balance.
My washer won;t fit more than 2 gis, along with the knee pads, rash guards and, other gear. My Fuji gis don't seem to be a big deal, no more than denim jeans, but I also have Dax Moiskito Judogis and, they are so thick and, bulky that one seems enough, although one Fuji will also fit.
After reading posts about wives and, girlfriends hating BJJ, I'm kind of glad I'm not married. I think I'd have to be a farmer to be married, because a farm wife is bound to be down to earth and, understanding of physical culture. Oh, maybe a wife who does BJJ, or Judo?
I go 3 at a time every time I wash. I had no idea this was an issue, I never noticed anything odd. My washer is an old boy too. Thanks for the heads up guys. Bringing it down to 2 per wash to be on the safe side.
