My point in doing all of this was to get a good picture of what folks around the world are listening to. Based on my findings, the entire world basically listens to the same artists. If you were to look at the top 20 artists in each country, they all practically have the same exact artists, just in slightly different orders.
There are some countries that are in their own musical bubble, per se. These countries all have something in common, though. They are Asian. For some interesting reason, Asian countries such as Hong Kong and Taiwan stick with their own kind in the music world. Their music is also very different than other popular music. It's all very slow and piano based. In fact, they sound like Broadway songs.
The only other outlier I was able to find was that Spain's two most popular Artists were Spanish. This is not surprising, as Spanish are very Nationalist. Many, if not most Southern Spanish folk, never learn a language outside of their own, which is rather rare in Europe. With that said, they still mainly listen to what everyone else is listening to besides those top two artists.
Anyways, I hope you find this as interesting as I do.
Lastly, rock on Asian countries! Keep doing your thing!
Ttt
This is an obvious conclusion.
Times have changed fren.
World is the smallest it's ever been. Interwebs and all that jazz mean we all see and do the same shit at the speed of wifi.
Go team.
Globalization for the win.

.
So shitty taste in music is universal. Good to know.
