Saturday's UFC on Fuel TV 10 set a UFC record most submissions on a single card (eight) and tied the record for most finishes (ten). Today we learn that the event was also a ratings sucess for the network, and the second highest event for the network ever:

The show, from Fortaleza, Brazil, headlined by Fabricio Werdum's submission win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira,. did 313,000 viewers on Fuel in the 8 p.m. to 11:20 p.m. time slot.

The show was notable for quick endings, mostly via submission. This gave Fuel the time to air not only the advertised six live fights, but also replay four undercard fights and made for a fast-paced and entertaining show in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

The amount of those viewers on TRT could not be verified.

But the UFC is so popular.... And BLAF says no one gives a fuck about spike. Phone Post 3.0

Spike is more on par with FX.

And no matter if you dislike zuffa or are a shill, Spike doesnt have many hit shows. Outside of a few episodes, including some of the past seasons of TUF, not many people watch Spike. I like the channel and watched lots of its programming when I lived in the the States but the truth is the truth. Phone Post

Seems like someone hasn't been reading on the availability of Fuel in comparison to Spike.

So how do the fx cards hold up to spike? If fuel isn't comparable then we should use the the fx cards to compare to bellator. Phone Post 3.0

a huge number for fuel.

once all the fuel and fx first run ufc content moves to a single network (FS1) things will get interesting. THe UFC hasnt had a real home since leaving spike.F

FS1 is in almost as many homes as spike (90m vs 99m), FS1 will air more UFC content than spike ever had, and Fox is giving the UFC the best timeslots (the entire primetime 8 to 11pm block on wednesday nights plus a one hour preview show at 7 and select saturdays).

UFC prelims pull around 1.3 million viewers on fx whereas bellator title fights pull around 800k on spike.

UFC on Saturday night 8pm
Est and Bellator was on Thursday night at 10 pm est. not really comparable Phone Post 3.0

Days don't matter when counting viewers. Why? Because if Spike isn't smart enough to put Bellator on Saturdays then whose fault is that?

I am sure Spike has put Bellator where they will get the most viewers possible. They are a lot smarter than us when it comes to running a tv station.

I'm sure if they thought they could pull big numbers on another night they would put them there.

For me when I was in the states, I was more likely to watch a fight on a weekday than on a Saturday. Never missed a fight on a weekday but missed plenty on weekends. That's just me though. Phone Post
