Future of UFC Heavyweight Division?

I see it coming down to a unfication matchup between Lesnar & Minotauro. I think the fight will give the edge to Mino in the standing range as he is fairly crisp with his striking. However, Lesnar will continue to improve his striking in training and give Mino a good battle before it goes to the mat.

Brock will initiate and secure the takedown while he attempts to control Mino from the top. Mino will be comfortable here as he has worked effectively off his back against many top GnPers like Fedor, Coleman, etc.

Brock will try to rain down as many punches as possible but will be unable to finish the crafty Brazilian from this position. Mino wears brock down by Round three and secures the submission via choke....possibly triangle.

That's how I see it playing out. Anyone else have predictions?

Where you meaning to say the prediction of Brock v Nog instead future of UFC Div?

Todd Duffey......3 years from now. That is all

Brock would be a bad match-up for Cain, IMO. But that doesn't mean he isn't a bad ass.

Look for Gonzaga to be able to beat Brock as well.

well since riggs just said Cain will beat Brock, I believe him!

triangle on brock? I think you would see a Rampage-esque slam through the mat

Wow, you're so funny! How do you do it?

One word....CAIN!!!!!!!

Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira is the past present and future of the HW division

I predict that if/when Nog loses that whoever he loses to everyone will start saying is the best, would beat fedor, etc, etc, etc.

I personally think Nog takes out Mir and Lesnar before that happens though.

Cain end of thread

He is that good

I dunno about Nog taking the triangle slam from Brock. He'd prolly be able to neutralize brock's movement fairly well.

I'd give Cain or Antonio Silva even odds at beating either of those guys and Fedor is still #1 for the foreseeable future.

Brock will do EVERYTHING to keep the fight standing and pray he lands a bomb that Nog doesn't see coming (like both Tim and Heath did). If he doesn't he will get out boxed by Nog and then take it to the ground where he will get subbed.

Brock by GnP....while in Nog's guard. Forget the triangle. Doubt Brock would get caught in the first place; and even if he did - the slam would devastate Nog.

Nog is tough, alright...but remember the beating from Fedor that Nog took when he was in guard?

That's what will happen if this fight takes place also.

True. That dead eye of his is starting to give him problems, imo.

Tim was just landing at will, and brock's monkey reach wont help things.

Brock size and speed will come into play again for his fight with NOG(Yes, I looked past Mir). Brock will be smart and not go to the ground with NOG unless he is getting outclassed on the feet. But this isnt 2003/2004 Nog, his speed has went down tremendously. Interesting match up...very interesting.

Juiced up Bob Sapp gave Nog hell on the ground before he gassed. Interesting.

Nog is my fav fighter I hope he pulls it off.

I just hope Big Nog can sustain the beating he will get from Brock long enough to apply the submission.

Nog is great and young enough but his MMA age is getting up there..
