MMA math doesn’t work. Dustin had to go through those kicks to get the finish. Also Gaethje has improved definitively since then.
I think Conor didn’t want to give Gaethje the extra money that comes with fighting him, because he was disrespectful about Conor as a Father, I think if anything else they could have fought otherwise. McGregor is not in a position to fight a guy that could destroy him then piss on him after. Cowboy has shown he’s a class act, especially these days and won’t seek to destroy Conor’s legacy after the fact if he wins.
