I'm glad that it doesn't touch these people's lives, but in that same note, I sometimes wish it would.
All it takes is once, to change that smug attitude some people have. One time for them to see how fast things can go from 0-100.

Once the general public sees a weapon, they won't get physically involved. They'll get on their phones and call 911 or film it, but they won't engage.
Even unarmed, I would tell the guy calmly, "if you don't kill me with that knife, I will butt hape you with it"
