What do you guy's think of Sotiropoulos? Clearly the guy can fight and is off to a great start but do we think he'll keep the pace or buckle under stiffer competition? Part of me thinks he could end up like Bisping and just be a possible DW pawn for international marketing not that the UFC needs it in Australia after the last event. The "re-born" Joe Daddy wasn't able to muster up anything but I am interested in seeing how George does as he climbs the ladder.
100Percent - Not convinced completely. But I'd like him to continue to fight the same caliber of fighters for the next year or two. I'd appreciate more fighter grooming on the part of the UFC.
You'll probably get your wish if Gomi and Maynard win their next fight then Sotiropoulos will be forced to wait his turn, and the only way I see George getting a title shot in the next year is if they wanna have him get the title shot in Australia at the beginning of next year.
I think he needs more time to develop, but I see him becoming a serious contender in the future. He needs more experience.
His ground game was the best i've seen in a big show in a while. ALWAYS trying for some kind of advantage.
I like some of the boxing moves he uses - but his standup needs some polishing before he could compete for a title.
Liked him on the show, couldn't believe he got cracked that hard by Speer. Thought he fought very well against Joe Diddy, looking forward to seeing him fight again.
