My gf worked with a guy for about 3 months in 2014. Never had a conversation with him outside work. Never talked to him longer for five minutes. No romantic interaction of any kind.
The guy's brain is apparently fried from doing too much hard drugs. He gets fired after three months and she hasn't seen or talked to him since.
About 9 months later, he called her out of the blue and crazily accused her of having him fired from the job. He threatens her, etc. He also sends text after text telling her in one that he loves her and the other that she's a piece of shit cunt and he's going to hurt her. She saved them all.
She goes to the cops (this is right when we started dating) and they advise her to block his number but they do nothing else. The texts and the calls stop when the number is blocked.
Fast forward to Sunday night, another 6 months later. She starts getting calls over and over again from an 11 digit phone number. She doesn't answer. Finally she does, and it's him. I take the phone, talk to him for 5 minutes while recording it on my own iPhone. He's out of his mind crazy. Claims she is harassing him and he wants her to stop. I try to talk some sense into him and ask him if he wants to meet me in person to discuss this scenario.
In the last two days he's called over 40 times from those weird numbers. I assume he's using some sort of caller ID spoofing app.
We don't know anything about this guy other than his first name. His original phone number that she had is out of service. The place she worked at before won't give us his last name or details.
I have a friend who is a police officer in that area that is willing to talk to this guy. But I don't think it will work. He's nuts. I think there is some sort of mental health issue at play. He needs to be medicated.
What would you do, OG?
FRAT.
Advice?
Have her stop dating betas and date an alpha.
he may be using google voice
ranier wolfcastle -I assumed calling card or some other caller ID spoofer. Didn't realize google voice came out like that.
he may be using google voice

I'd be careful meeting this dude to talk (without a firearm), he's obviously nuts. Very likely he'll try and kill you and wear your face as a mask.
You gotta go to the cops and get a restraining order - he's threatened her with violence - should be enough.
I had a similar incident with my wife and a guy she worked with. My instinct was to fight the guy, but I think that would have made it worse. He eventually lost interest, but your situation is much worse - don't underestimate him. Assume he's plotting to kill you both
Clear answer is for her to get a new number.
Problem solved.
Meet with the police again and make out a report so you have a paper trail. Print out all the text messages and phone logs. Get a restraining order.

The whole situation is making my blood boil. My first instinct was to fight. During my chat with him, I got the impression that no matter what I did to him, he wouldn't stop.
I'm 34 years old. Not about to risk everything I worked for to beat the shit out of some off his meds douche bag.

ROTspalf - It's possible that she's not being totally honest with you. She may have had something going on with him on the side and now he's jealous. If not, she might become interested in him now. Girls love attention. Either way, good luck. This was my first instinct too. But I believe her. She's pretty freaked out. I really don't think she's lying. There would be no point.

Hired Gun - Meet with the police again and make out a report so you have a paper trail. Print out all the text messages and phone logs. Get a restraining order. All good advice.
Forgot to mention he's left several voice mails. I've taken voice memos of all of them.
We have a mountain of evidence but have no clue who the guy is.

This.
Walk into the police station and file a report.
Tell them everything. Tell them that the prior place of employment won't help with the dude's information and ask them to get it.
After the police report is filed contact the former place of employment again and let them know. They MIGHT release his full name at that point.
I'd recommend ZERO contact with this guy. Have your girl change her cell number TODAY.
Have ZERO direct contact with him. He may not know exactly where she lives so you don't want him to have any ideas.
Man up fucker. Kick his fuckin ass!
Why didn't she get a new number after the first time he called? Have her get a new number under someone elses name so that he can't look her number up.
Tell him you've contacted the police about his calls. Maybe it'll scare him off. And change numbers.
Sexually undermine him
PoopingTom - Tell him you've contacted the police about his calls. Maybe it'll scare him off. And change numbers.I told him we did. He laughed and said that he knows we don't know who he is. Dared the police to try and find him.

TaptouT - Why didn't she get a new number after the first time he called? Have her get a new number under someone elses name so that he can't look her number up.She doesn't want to get a new number although that might be the only option.
It's been her phone number since she was 14.

The fuck?
Are you concerned about her safety or not?
She's not cutting of a goddamn limb, she's changing her phone number and protecting herself. She can text/call every one of her contacts with her new fucking number. She can ping people on facebook, twitter, etc to hit her up privately if they need her new number.
