she's just come back from injury and she's rolling with a bigger professional athlete - what does anyone expect. I think she's a phenomenal athlete and I like her competitiveness

I think he meant with a male bantamweight as Gil is a lightweight.
Reminds me of the girls that go to kick boxing class and think the guys are actually going all out against them.
Looks like a fine flow roll to me and it goes about how you'd expect.
Gil is plainly dominant but avoids being so in a smashing or particularly abusive way. He also allows himself to get in bad positions so long as Rousey "earns" them, and then works his way out. I don't think Rousey looks to be under any illusions that she can take him or anything like that. She doesn't seem surprised at how it goes.
Neither of them look like they're going particularly hard, except maybe for when Rousey was really hoping for that armbar. Otherwise, Gil looks to be at about 50% and Rousey maybe 70%. Looks not unlike some of the "warmup" rolls I've had with females in our BJJ school.
The most notable thing to me was the size discrepancy--I'm surprised they're fight weights are only 20 lbs apart. It looks bigger than that. I assume Gil must cut more than Rousey.
Where are the females to roll with her? It doesn't have to be a championship fight. I would just like to see top female BJJ BB rolling with her like you see all the guys doing.
Nice roll, but didn't see anything unusual here. I'd like to see her go hard with a Michelle Nicolini or McKenzie Dern. That'd be far more intriguing and not just solely for spank material.

Would ruin the illusion of invincibility and be bad for business

Ronda is beating up on MMAers who have no comparative grappling ability. But I understand why, she has paid the price in judo for grappling most of her life with huge sacrifices by all to get he Bronze Olympic medal. Why does she have more to prove? Take the MMA money while she is healthy and an hot commodity. The reason she is doing so well is she quit her judo career in her prime(21).

except for the olympic wrestler.....Would've been nice to see how the groundwork played out though but Ronda has turned herself into a well rounded fighter.
