THE transgender woman who allegedly went on an axe rampage at a Sydney 7-Eleven will remain behind bars for another month.

Evie Amati, 24, is facing a series of charges over the January 7 incident at Enmore, in Sydney’s inner-west.

She had been expected to apply for bail today at Central Local Court but her lawyer Charles Waterstreet said the application couldn’t proceed.

He was still waiting for details of the police case against Ms Amarti.

That was expected to happen by February 28 with a new bail application likely on March 2.

Ms Amarti didn’t appear on video link from prison and bail was formally denied.

At a previous appearance, Ms Amati’s lawyer Charles Waterstreet told the court Ms Amati was suffering from psychosis, delusions and hallucinations, saying “kill”.

Mr Waterstreet said Ms Amati was on “a large amount” of antidepressants, hormonal drugs and another drug given to her “by a third person” at the time of the alleged attack.

Police initially charged the union employee with two counts of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm the alleged attack on two customers at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Enmore, in Sydney’s inner west.

Police allege Ms Amati is the woman who strolled into the store with an axe and carried out the attack in a terrifying video exclusively revealed by news.com.au.

CCTV footage shows the bloody rampage second by second as it takes place inside the shop on a busy road about 2.20am on Saturday.

Female victim describes Sydney axe attack

A woman has been charged over a terrifying axe attack at a service station in Sydney's inner west that injured two people.
The horrific alleged rampage left a 43-year-old woman with a fractured skull and a man seriously injured.

Sharon Hacker was buying milk on Stanmore Road in Enmore at around 2.25am on Saturday when she crossed paths with a young woman brandishing an axe.

"She just came with full force and swung and struck the man across the face," Ms Hacker told Network Ten.

"Then (she) turned immediately around to me and again, with both hands, came through and struck me with the axe in the back of the head.

"And then as I was falling forward, (she) came in again and came down and struck me again."

Ms Hacker was left with a fractured skull in the random attack, while a 32-year-old man suffered more serious head injuries.
"His face was completely opened up and bleeding profusely," Ms Hacker said.

"I'm just very lucky that I have very thick dreadlocks."
Bystander Nathan Wood described chasing a woman down the street before losing her as he called police.

"But then she went after the person who was following behind me and swung her axe at him," he said.

"Dude in a big coat, she swung and she missed, caught his coat and tore a big old hole through it."

Police said that a short time after the attack a woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, was found by officers a short distance from the service station and arrested.

She allegedly had an axe in her possession, which was seized.
The woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for assessment under police guard.

She was later charged with wounding a person intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

The woman was refused bail to front Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

We should all be grateful that most people don't keep sharp tools. That dudes face should've had a long oval hole in it. Lucky sob.
