Oh… you’re trolling!
So does foreman who leaves himself wide open constantly and plods forward throwing telegraphed uppercuts from the hips
Ali drops his hand to his side every time he throws a jab like an amateur which is why he’s a sucker for a left hook
Every era has heavyweights who make technical mistakes and leave themselves open
Ok calling vitali as overrated as Tyson is a bit of an exaggeration. But he is def the most overrated heavyweight of the last 15 years
Ali, Fraizer, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis, both Klitschko’s – all beat Wilder 8/10 times or more.
Tyson is underrated.
People rate his entire career as a whole, which is OK in terms of accomplishment.
But most people who post here don’t understand the difference between peak Tyson and 90s Tyson.
Peak Tyson is a very dangerous fight for any HW, ever.
No he’s extremely overrated and as mythological as Bruce Lee. Buster Douglas beat prime Mike Tyson.
Prime Mike was scared to fight 45 year old foreman because he knew he’d lose.
He is very fast and offensively skilled but one dimensional with no heart and can only win when he’s being bullied. He’s never come back to win a fight he was losing and the Botha fight was the only tough fight I can recall him winning.
Fury, Wilder, and Usyk all beat prime Mike badly
Agreed, the Tyson that destroyed Tyrell Biggs and Spinks was a force of nature. The most Fury would be able to do would be to hold him for dear life while Tyson punches holes into his body.
Complete bullshit. Prime Foreman would put him to sleep.
Foreman is smaller, slower, and less skilled than Fury.
He has zero chance
Foreman weighed in 220lbs for the Ali fight.
He’s the same size as Usyk and fights like a lumbering behemoth lmao
With Fury we have someone that went three fights with the hardest puncher of all time. Objectively speaking thinking anyone will just stop Fury easily doesn’t reflect reality.
He is a nightmare. I do however feel that skilled power punchers like Mike Tyson are also a nightmare and you can’t write them off. Mike is very difficult to stop and that was the shit version of Mike as opposed to 80s version who was faster and more varied. He was a tad small though. I would say a prime Mike would win maybe a quarter of fights Vs Fury.
Lennox is probably the most interesting fight for me. I think there would definitely be a few losses there for Fury. Lennox has also all time power and the skills to match. Size wouldn’t be an issue.
No clue really what the likes of Ali or other old school fighters would do but Fury would get hit more than he was hit in all three Wilder fights combined.
What I will say is that Wilder proved Fury is difficult to KO and Fury has remarkable skill for a big man. Klitschko was outboxed by Fury but that fight looked like a sparring session.
Hypothetically all the GOAT contenders would land on Fury much much more and potentially ask better questions than Wilder or Klitschko did.
Andrew Schulz goat journalist?
Mostly reasonable but I disagree about 5’11” mike Tyson being a tough match for Fury.

the lion king is either very low iq or clearly trolling. i think the latter. the wlad is great, but vitali is one of the most overrated boxers of all time sealed the troll jaja.
-
those who think tyson could not very possibly take out fury with relative ease are deluding themselves. he beat the living hell out of a very big razor ruddock, koing him twice and breaking his jaw and turning his face into fucking humpty dumpty. and ruddock hit very, very, VERY hard. and even though he connected on tyson many times, hard, tyson walked through it and beat him down ruthlessley. fury does not have even half the power ruddock has, not even close. he very well could lack the power to keep tyson off him, in fact he almost certainly does. and as good as fury moves, its for a big man… he moves NOTHING as good as tyson in his prime. they are worlds apart. go back and watch some of tyson’s fights, he was a movement monster. honestly, i think he ko’s fury with ease. i could be wrong, but one thing i am 100% right about is that is clearly anything but a foregone conclusion that tyson would lose jaja.

quit the nonsense that the tyson that fought buster was prime tyson. no. he was a shadow of his former self by then, and did not even train properly. go watch a clip of that fight compared to almost any of his earlier fights. the movement and hand speed was gone, just looking for big shot pot shots. night and day difference, and then some jaja…

ranking fury all time great at this point is INSANE. he did not “clown” klitchco as some low iq person said, he won the fight but it was extremely competitive. and who else has he beat besides deontey, who had him on the canvas four times and nearly killed him jaja? and most people call deontey a no skill having pug jajaja. you should absolutely be ashamed of yourself as an analytical human being, and even as a man, if you are going to try and claim fury is at this point an atg ahead of ali, foreman, joe lewis, marciano, lenix louis, andrew golota and a host of others. shame on you jaja!!!
Wow, jajaja guy with a great post. Didn’t expect that.
Lionking is like Rogan and Anek he thinks everyone on a winning streak is the goat.
Wilder would lose to Lewis. Wilder isn’t very hard to hit. Lennox hit very hard. Just a bad match up.
Wilder would beat both Klitshco Brothers for the very same reason.
Bowe very Wilder is very interesting. Bowe also a strong puncher with good defense. It wasn’t until later in his career that he engaged in wars. He was tactical early on.
I think Lewis could beat Fury, but my money would be on Fury.
I’m curious to see Fury against a great boxer. He moves incredibly well for being a giant.
But I’m curious how he would look against a Bowe, a young Tyson, and Ali a Holyfield.
really want to see Usyk and AJ vs both.
Buster Douglas beat a Tyson 3 fights removed from Rooney who was being trained by a bunch of yes-men who provided him with as much cocaine and as many sluts as he could handle – all while telling him he was the most unstoppable power puncher ever.
If you can’t speak to context, your opinions are shit.
Tyson’s peak was a very clear and marked period of time – and his decline post Rooney/Jacobs was obvious and increased through the 90s.
Prime Tyson went HARD to the body, and was very unpredictable. He also had an all-time chin.
I think Fury is a tough matchup for Tyson based on his size and toughness.
But recovering from one-at-a-time bombs from Wilder ,is very much different than withstanding the crushing body shots that open up the head.
It’s an interesting matchup – and anyone who thinks they know how it would play out, is delusional.
If they fought 10 times, small chance either guy wins all 10.
LOL at Wilder beating peak Tyson.
I might even favor 90s Tyson over Wilder.
Both guys have great chins, but Tyson is miles better defensively, and has more weapons.
The head movement would frustrate Wilder, and the body shots would hurt him early.
Wilder has gaping holes in his defense almost taylor made for Tyson to exploit.
Yes he is bigger, but he doesn’t have a great jab, and he doesn’t manage the distance like more skilled taller fighters (Lewis).
Wilder has a punchers chance, but IMO Tyson hurts him earlier and more often than Fury did. And Tyson is faster and the more dangerous puncher than Fury.
I think peak Tyson puts Wilder away within 7 rounds almost every time.
Wilder has a punchers chance vs Lewis.
Lewis was KOd by McCall and Rahman, and neither guy hit as hard as Wilder. But Lewis was also the superior boxer to both of them, and avenged both losses. I can see Wilder catching Lewis, but IMO Lewis outclasses Wilder 8/10 times, on the back of an all-time jab and greater frequency of power.
Peak Bowe would fuck Wilder up.
Horrible matchup.
Bowe had a ridiculous chin, and was simply better than Wilder at every range
If Fury can take Wilder’s bombs without staying down – Bowe could have.
Obviously, Bowe had a very short peak.
But assuming best vs best – Bowe outclasses Wilder 9/10 times, maybe 10/10.
Holyfield vs Wilder would be a war. But Holyfield would win probably all of the wars.
He was so good at avoiding the power shots, and he would have used tape study and drilling to avoid and counter Wilder’s somewhat predictable bombs.
Just a more disciplined, smarter, well rounded fighter – and just as tough if not tougher than Wilder.
I will say that Wilder has a hell of a chin and alot of heart.
That fight the other day elevated him in my book.
But he’s not beating many of the all time greats more often than not IMO.
