God damn...

Saw an old picture of my first dog tonight and god damn, it totally broke me. I don't think I've cried since I watched her pass 4 years ago. I miss that pup so much... she was so loyal, only ever wanted to please her owners.

She left so fast that all I could really do was treat her to a nice cut of steak and hold her for the night. I wish I could hold her one more time. I just wanted to get that out.

Rest in peace, Roxie

Damn :*^(.... this hit me in the feels, especially because the greatest dog I’ve ever had is named Roxy too.. she’s about 12 human years in.. have had her since she was just a little bubble peanut head.. don’t look forward to when she’s no longer around. Best dog I have ever owned in my life. RIP to your Roxie.. keep your head up OP

Sorry man, I know the feeling.

Damn brother, sorry. Been there. Try to smile about her too. Thanks for sharing man.

I feel your pain man. I had to put down a Pekingese that my fiancée (then) wife (now) had for 13 years. One of the hardest things I have ever done. My first dog lived 20 years and 1 month and survived a ten pound tumor removed from his abdominal cavity when he was 15. The next 4 years he was like a much younger dog. He died peacefully in his sleep. That was hard but nothing like having to euthanize a house dog that you cared for daily for a long time (he had several health issues that are common with his breed).  To then have to ok putting him down was hell on her and I both. Op you sent me down memory lane, thanks
