Family trip...10 year anniversary.
It was between Ireland, Italy, France or Greece.
Picked Ireland as it had the best deal package.
Greece I have family, but fuck the flights are super expensive.
Iffy on the European countries (mainland) because of these faggot terrorists.
Flight (3) + car + hotel = approx 2k-2.5k groupon Deal and we taking tour I'm different parts....wife found the idea.
What say og? Advice? Tips?
I went to Dublin in 08 for 4 nights
Was a lot of fun. They had this bus ticket, the Hop-On/Hop-Off tour, where you could buy a ticket for cheap and then hop on the bus at any one of like 20-30 locations throughout the city, and then hop off at any other location, all day, for free (after the purchase of the ticket). Buses rolled through the locations every 10-15 minutes. It was super convenient to (a) tour the city and (b) get fucked up on beer and whiskey while doing so.
People are really friendly there. I liked it way more than Paris, where I had spent the 4 previous nights.
I'd say avoid Temple Bar because it's a touristy shitshow and find quieter bars in out-of-the-way areas to booze
Bring plenty of cash, it is pretty expensive here.
Take a raincoat.
Avoid temple bar- if you want a proper Irish pub drop into either o'neills on Suffolk street or keoghs just off grafton street (within a few minutes walk of each other). And make sure to have a swim in the sea. The forty foot in dun laoghaire is the most famous spot in Dublin and you should find people there 365 days a year. Dalkey is a great nearby village to warm up with some lunch. Drive on the left and speed limits are in km/h!
Don't spend too much time in Dublin. Go west.
Spend a bit of time in Galway, Kerry and West Cork. Visit the Cliffs Of Moher and think about heading up north to the Giant's Causeway, it really is one of the most amazing things you'll ever see. What time of year will you be over?
Go to the euros in France and put on an irish jersey instead

What time of year will you be over?I thought the Giant's Causeway was very unimpressive. I liked the rope bridge though.

Really? You're hard to impress! :)
