I've never been to the Gulf of America, so the lady and I are spending the weekend at St. Petersburg, FL on a whim. My favorite artist is Salvador Dali, and as I was looking up things to do in St. Pete, I saw that there is a Dali Museum with many of his original works!
Worth the visit I saw a huge collection of his work on loan when I visited L.A. Amazing how many people in so many different disciplines are directly influenced by his work.
I'm a huge fan of his work as well, I have Sleep framed and hanging over my bed at home. I have a bunch of his other work (all prints of course) hanging around the house. Have a great time, I'll have to check that place out eventually.
groundfighter2000 - Dawg, how are you gonna even enjoy it when you know you won't be experiencing the full effect due to your color blindness?!
Color blindness doesn't stymie creativity, and many historic and hugely famous painters throughout history are believed to have levels of color blindness.
With that said, I've never liked Monet at all, and I think it has a direct correlation with my color blindness.
A framed Dali was the quintessential piece to tie your bachelor pad together along with a Persian rug in the late 90s. It went well with the Korn music...
Fun fact I learned on the tour of that museum; it's in St Petersburg, FL because the owners of the largest collection of Dali thought the museum was going up in St Petersburg RUSSIA. It ended up in FL as a result of a mistake.
Feel free to construct whatever MAGA joke you want out of that little tidbit.
