Golovkin/Ishida&Rios/AlvaradoII: What's your call?

A reminder Gennady Golovkin takes on Nobuhiro Ishida in defense of his two major titles @ 3PM ET on PPV

Brandon Rios rematches with Mike Alvarado - HBO broadcast begins just after 930pm ET

How do you call both fights UG?

I'm going

Gennady Golovkin - KO5

Brandon Rios - TKO8

Golovkin/Ishida HL

Alvarado/Rios HL

Is Ishida the same guy that TKO'd Kirkland?

Anyways, I'd go with:

GGG by KO - 4

Rios TKO - 6

Rios vs Marquez by the end of the year

Golovkin and Rios.

Alvarado did not deal with Rios' pressure very well in their last fight. Not sure how much he could have changed in the mean time. Phone Post 3.0

@ thatkick - yes Ishida is the guy who got Kirkland

@ McAllister - He did much better from the outside. I wanted to call an early one for Rios but with the toughness of the last one I gave Alvarado some more credit

Where can I catch the GGG fight? Phone Post 3.0

Yeah Alvarado actually looked solid early on when he kept the range. He seemed to fade and let Rios walk him down though by the mid rounds. Phone Post 3.0

Yeah, this is the fighter that interests me most. Phone Post 3.0

Rios quote from earlier this week: "Once Alvarado gets hit, he'll fight".

^If that happens, it'll be Alvarado's downfall.

GGG is on PPV for me (Comcast)

There are plenty of streams around the net i'm sure, and I believe in caposa's thread he is linking one.

btw, just started the PPV here and don't have anything airing yet.

Broadcast says 3pm to 8pm ET, gonna try back round 330-345

Golovkin Dec
Rios KO

Rios vs Marquez by the end of the year

Arum claims potential opponents for Pacquiao are Rios v Alvarado winner, Marquez, and Tim Bradley

Also for those who want to know PPV has started. Streams may have started as well.

Wasn't Ishida 'developmental talent' heading into the Kirkland fight?

Has he looked good in subsequent fights?

He was supposed to be a easy win for Kirkland. Howver the tables were turned and normally feather fisted Ishida Ko'd Kirkland in the first.
Promoters have since used Ishida as a stepping stone once again. Expect this time it worked, Paul Williams and Pirog picked up fairly routines Dec against him. GGG will beat what is left out of his body and name.

^^^

Agreed with above. Ishida did have a couple recent stoppages but the Williams and Pirog losses did not look good. Many believe this will be the last time a named opponent is possible for Ishida if he loses here. I think he's also up around 37 years old now.

Seregei Rebchenko fighting now.

Looks like this coming fight may be the last before Golovkin v Ishida.

Post or PM me if you would like a couple stream links. (recommend a pop up blocker tho)
