Probably been talked about but I missed it , if it has.   A few sites have this fight rumored for UFC 82. 





Awesome Fight imo.  this would be on the Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson Card.

Good fight. If Fitch wins he is for sure in line for the next title shot. If Gono wins, he vaults right up in the UFC rankings.

Plus, stylewise, this could be fun. Gono has great striking and subs, Fitch is a great wrestler and GnPer who seems to be able to outlast some sick subs.

Fitch by ownage. Gono will not make it out of round 2.

There is no good reason why Karo/Fitch can't be signed. Gono/Fitch is good but it is definitely a "Plan B" sort of fight.

im sure a bunch of ppl are disappointed that karo and fitch arent fighting next. me included. but i think this fight will be just as good.

Not a chance in hell. The fight goes one of two ways. Fitch takes Gono down and pounds him out. Gono doesn't have a very good guard. He certainly doesn't have an offensive guard. The other way is Gono somehow defends the takedowns, uses his footwork, and chips away for a decision.

Either way, not a FOTY candidate. No way.

Guida, because Huerta beats his opponents usually by either outwrestling them or outhustling them, and I don't think he can do either to Guida.

That said, I don't understand the Huerta hate. I'm a big fan. Dude is NEVER in a boring fight and he's pretty damn good to boot. Just don't think he can beat Guida.

I agree pretty much, Huerta is a ton of fun. I think a lot of people consider him a protected newb, but he's been around for a long time and fought tons of tough guys before he even fought for Zuffa.

I thought Huerta might be able to stay up long enough to get a decision on striking but you do make good sense.
