                    <p>Gabriel Gonzaga is 4-1 in his second stint in the UFC and hopes a win this weekend over Stipe Miocic leads him to a title shot:</p>

Gonzaga believes the version of him that rapidly advanced up the heavyweight ranks only to fall hard and fast is long gone.

“Seven years more experience, more training and more skills,” he said. “Everything is accumulated now for a new fighter, so I’m definitely different than seven years ago.”

This time around, Gonzaga believes he can make the most out of his run toward the title. And by beating Miocic, he could steal another opponent’s opportunity.

“I’m coming with a good run,” he said. “If I win, it’s going to be good for a title shot. I just need to keep winning and keep going. I’m really motivated.”

He's definitely looking good since his return.

If he could manage to get a title shot, that's twice he has challenged for the belt in 2 different eras of the UFC... Pretty impressive. Phone Post 3.0

I hope he wins, but if he loses, I'd love to see him fight Barnett.

I'll be rooting for him this weekend. First fight I saw him was knocking out Cro Cop live. Wasn't a fan that night. Am now.

I agree with you.

Loss should put him up against Barnett and a win should put him up against JDS, Reem (If he wins) or some other top fighter which will allow him to get a title shot.

I think this is an easy fight to get money on. Gonzaga is gonna knock Stipe out imo. At which point he should fight a top 5 guy for the chance to fight Cain

If he wins he is definitively is the discussion as top contender after Browne/Werdum winner. He will likely need another win after Stipe though.

I'm going for Napao also. But even if he wins, he still needs another win against a top 5, maybe even 2 more wins.
