 ttt. anyone got any info?

USC has a judo club which is available to students and staff. Other than that there is a BJJ school in Irmo and a school that does MMA in Lexington. Those are the only ones worth mentioning.

what's the name of the lexington and irmo schools?

Columbia Martial Arts is located in Lexington, SC. It's probably only about 10 min from USC/downtown. Address is 239 Two Notch Rd. Lexington, SC and phone # is 803-356-9755. We've got BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA, and boxing.

The Irmo BJJ school is Columbia Self Defense BJJ. It's run by a 3 or 4 stripe brown belt. Their focus is on traditional Gracie Jiu Jitsu which emphasizes the self defense aspect. No fancy sport stuff.

cool ill def hav to b checking these out. whats the website for columbia martial arts?

i found the webpage. ill be down to check it out soon. will i need a gi or anything for jiu jitsu? also where can i find the pricing? i saw the 2 wks for 50 but i was wondering monthly yearly etc

Just call the number in the above post and ask for Mark Mills. He's the head instructor at CMATC. He'll give you the low down on prices and class specifics. He's a really, really good guy.

sounds good. preciate yall helping me out. my gf is even excited n might start going lol

the strom has a punching bag

cant get n the strom unless ur a usc student tho right?

yea. they may have like a thing where outsiders pay a fee to go to the gym. it's the best gym you'd probably go to if you've never been there.

ive heard its a good one. a friend of mine goes there. im gonna try to go there to work out while whatever mma school i join is closed

there or the blatt gym is just as good if your just looking to workout.

I've heard good things about the instructor at the Gracie Barra school and was impressed by at least one of the students at a tournament down there last fall.
