Good snack.

1 Cup plain, low fat yogurt

1 Scoop protein powder

throw in some fruit like blueberries or sliced strawberries

throw in some oatmeal or some whole grain cereal (like Fiber One)

I tried this and was surprised at how well the protein powder mixes with the yogurt. It's good.

The low fat yogurt plus the protein powder (in my case, Optimum nutrition "100% Whey Protein Gold Series") has the following:

Calories - 274

Protein - 37 g

Carbohydrates - 20 g

Fat - 5 g

Obviously the fruit and grain will add more carbs without a lot more protein or fat.

I love the sugar loaded yogurts but that regular plain yogurt is nasty stuff even after I added some raspberries, maybe I'll try it with protein powder cause this is not the first time I've seen a similar recipe.

Yeah, by itself it's not so good. Try adding a scoop or two of flavored protein powder and a packet of your favorite artificial sweetener (like Sweet-n-low, Splenda, Stevia, or Nutrasweet).

Add a little fruit and some grains and it'll taste a lot better.
