Goodness, Kawajiri is Awesome

The guy has really screwed his head on straght recently. He gets better every fight, and his stand up is incredible right now.

ttt won me money

very very tough to beat when he's on.

There are very few LW's I'd pick to beat him when he fights like that.

wow. Iminari deserved that 2nd yellow. Not Bibiano.

Crusher rules so hard when he doesn't decide to exclusively pick one skill and one skill only to fight with

had no idea why they gave it to him 3 seconds after he ws kicking Imanaris legs.

Kawajiri standup has got a lot sharper after training for that K-1 bout.

He is a tough fight for anyone, I think he could really excel in UFC, with elbows and a cage.

After Pride bit the dust he wanted to fight in the UFC, he was training his elbows and literally waiting for a phone call that never came

then the Japanese scene dusted itself off and here we are

yea i remember reading an interview when he was talking about that.

Maybe but as mentioned, perhaps Kawajiri has raised his game to new heights. He was always a strong wrestler, good passer on the ground, great GNPer, powerful hands but seems that he's sharpened his hands up now.

He def woulda been a good addition to the UFC LW div.

I like JZ as a fighter, but his hype really flew out of control for a while. He had his ATT buddies were saying he was the #1 lightweight and people just started accepting it. I think Din Thomas, Denis Kang, and several others were saying it in every single interview. He's one of the better 155'ers in the world, but that's a friggin deep division. He's gotta to be ranked #4 or lower in his own DREAM division.

Mousasi may or may not be getting the same treatment right now. He's obviously very talented, but he could really use one or two more wins at whatever weight class he's moving to. In terms of height and build he's a larger 185'er or a medium sized 205'er. I don't buy his whole "I'm too big business". He's a skinny guy and no taller than Rich or Silva and many other guys at 185. When he spars with Fedor he is dwarfed in terms of bulk. Good win for him last night, but hopefully he takes more fights at 185-205 after this Superhulk bs.

I'm boarding the Kawajiri train. I thought he was overrated for a long time, but he seems to have stepped it up to the next level now. I'd love to see Gomi/Kawajiri II.
