all i gota say is nova uniao canada KICKED ASS TODAy in the white belt divisions with Ariya KILLING all 5 of his fights in his first ever tourny, getting the gold. the boy finished the finals BEAUTIfully with a semi-flying armbar.
Andrew who trains mostly at KATA and some at torontobjj also did amazing in the gi (GOLD), getting everybody's back and even impressing kenny florian who was reffing.

I was SO proud of the guys, can't wait to see them fight at joslins!!

oh and i did ok...had a tough fight with a 'rival' in the no gi 120-135, going to over time and then sudden death and losing by guard pass. fought a few divisions but was really proud winning gold in the 120-135 gi, beating a really good fighter by playing the game right and shutting down her game.

Ariya and Andrew can definately do great things in the future if they keep on training. Yael continues to represent our ladies with pride.
