Tests went great , the pace these guys were pushing was incredible.
The whole thing was such an eye opener and I am very happy with my decision....
Here are a few things to keep in mind.
1) teachers are not showing students how to defend a heel hook because its "not allowed " in most tournaments. SERIOUSLY????
2) I do not want the outcome of a match to rely on the hands of a referee. In this event you push the pace and you decide who wins (by tapping ur opponent of course)
3) 15 minutes and 20 minutes makes no difference , if u can't tap the guy with pressure for 15 min u r not going to tap him in 20 so there is the reasoning behind it btw....
4) My grandfathers jj has been so watered down to something I can't even comprehend.
and my goal is to bring that back.
5) competition should be FUN!! And not a test of who can take more juice or who understands the rules better. It should be to find out who is the best @ doing jj.
I don't care to hear some guy won because he got an advantage and held on for dear life till time ran out.
I mean seriously?? And how about all he times that someone competes, gets ripped off and nothing can be said or done.
Anyone here that knows my husband well, might have a better understanding of what I am talking about.
Advantage ??? Seriously people ?? U almost did something but u didn't do anything?
Everyone knows that there is something wrong but no one knows what to do about it and how to do it.
Like it or not I am making a much needed change .... Is this final? Absolutely not!! I will make more changes for the next one if necessary. One thing is for sure, I will be going full force to do what the old man wanted
I feel that I am in a position to make a change and there is no reason why I should't try to make that change.
And did i mention that we will also be running random PED ( performance enhancing drugs) testing.....
Thanks, see you guys soon.
=)

I'm new to the country but $85 seems excessive for a comp.
