It really depends on the gracie, rickson was an excellent nogi grappler because he relied on fundamentals the same way roger does, in my opinion the more flashy the moves can be the more you rely on grips. All that said roger has beaten pretty much everyone with the cross collar lol rather than no gi chokes. Apples and oranges, not every gracie is the same sort of grappler, but yes there are some killers without the gi in that family Phone Post
