Grand Master Giron passes

Escrima Grand Master Emeritus (Leo) Giron
passed away peacefully yesterday (Tuesday).
Please say a prayer for him.

double post

my deepest condolences to his family. the FMA world has lost another great.

RIP

Leo Giron was an incredible martial artist. As an MA practitioner who is so obviously obsessed with history, I always found Grand Master Giron to be an especially fascinating individual, because he used his Arnis/Escrima in actual combat, during WWII. His wartime memoirs, titled Memories Ride the Ebb of Tide, is totally fascinating, and it's a shame that it is not readily available in a more mainstream book format. My thoughts and prayers go out to Grand Master Giron and his family. God Bless him.Sincerely,David Black Mastro/TrueFightScholar

hopefully he'll be sharing knowledge of the finer points of sword work with Talhoffer.

RIP

Yeah, I bet those two will have plenty to talk about, up in that Great Training Hall in the Sky!

rip.
