Sweet..

"A Brizillian Ju Juitsu weblog... The blog will be my place on the web to write down my thoughts on teaching and learning the art of Brazillian Jiu Jutsu."

Well, I have some thoughts on SPELLING the name of the art you are teaching and learning, if you are interested.

(See what calling it "Jits" has done, people?!??!?)

Thanks all. Shen, spelling error corrected. I probably should put up a spelling disclaimer. If poor spelling offends you then don't read... Incidentally, the poor spelling hasn't affected my game at all so it's all good...

I'm NOT a fantastic speller myself, so this is definitely "the pot calling the kettle black"... but... the sub-title of your BLOG "A Brizillian Jiu Jitsu weblog" is spelled wrong too. (But it's not just that, notice you use different spellings of "Jiu Jitsu" on the same page. There are multiple ways to spell it, but you should probably stick with one).

You may think I'm just nitpicking or being a dick, but I'm not.

You may have really good information to convey, but you shoot yourself in the foot when you spell the name of the art wrong multiple places. That will turn many people off to what you have to offer and they won't take you seriously. People don't care if you have some "normal" typos, but rightly or wrongly spelling the name of the art wrong is a big red flag for people.

Like whenever I see someone claiming they teach "Mai Thai" or "Muy Tai" I just assume they are a fraud.

Again, I don't think YOU are a fraud, but you're doing yourself a disservice if you want people to read your BLOG.

Good luck!

:)

ttt for Brizillianz

Sometimes misspellings add a certain street cred you'd not otherwise attain, especially given the attitude and life-skill set associated with the street-tough brizzilians

Flim Springfield, you know?

Very entertaining read!

Very good thx!

Install google toolbar, it has a built in spell checker. Or type your blog up in word first, then run the spell checker.
