Corrales-Castillo II
Jesus Chavez-Famoso Hernandez II
Travioso Arce-Hussein Hussein II

Whoa..they just took all the wars from the last little while and put them on the same card.

Nice, I loved the Corrales - Castillo. The Chavez Hernandez was very good aswell. Missed the last one how was the first match?

Arce-Hussein 1 was an instant candidate for fight of the year, and I actually thought it was better than Morales-Pacquiao later that night. A lot of heavy leather exchanges and the tide turned a couple of times. In the middle rounds, you sensed Hussein was gonna get the win but Arce rallied back.

Wow, that list of fights look great but are they just assuming that Arce will get past Wonjongkam. A loss would take some luster off the fight imo plus I didn't really think Arce/Hussein 1 was that close to begin with. I think Arce's slowdown midway had more to do with that cut than being a sign Hussy was going to win. It seems that the guys running the show wanted to really sell this to Wynn's(sp?) new casino.

Ill def. be buying that!

Rogie I agree but it is nowhere near as high quality asw DK's PPV featuring Rahman and Barrett. That will be a legendary event, worthy of a PPV price increase.

Hasim Rahman vs Monte Barrett (WBC Interim Hvy)
Alejandro "Terra" Garcia vs Luca Messi (WBA 154)
Luis Collazo vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez (WBA 147)
Andrew Golota vs Przemyslaw Saleta (Hvy)
Sergei Liakhovich vs Owen Beck (Hvy)

Thats the DKP card: I would hope the price is not more than $29.95. The Rahman and Beck fights are interesting, and I wouldnt mind seeing Garcia fight again.

Arum has been putting on the way better shows lately no question. It is like they reversed roles or something. Dont forget that DK already did a "revenge" show-over 10 years ago.

I was just picking at you Rogie. The Zab Spinks fight IMO was a good fight. I just cannot see how anyone would pay for that crap though. Miguel Angel???????? Give me a break. In a title fight??????? WOW.

Hey Rogie I was wondering what your take is on Mayorga being a #1 154 contender when he has never even campaigned at that weight and is on a losing streak vs real fighters? The corruption could not be more obvious IMO. DK and Sulaiman have no shame at all.

Spinks-Judah II was on regular Showtime, not PPV. DK has had two good shows this year-Zab and Cory II and Braithwaite vs Mormeck. The Trinidad card was decent, but it needed another title fight IMO.

I dont have a problem with Mayorga being in the top 5, but he should not be higher than 4 IMO. Granted, he is a former welterweight champion with two victories over Vernon Forrest but his only fight near jr. middleweight was not very impressive against Mitchell. Mauricio Suliaman has said that they made Mayorga #1 because other guys werent available.

"Hey Rogie I was wondering what your take is on Mayorga being a #1 154 contender when he has never even campaigned at that weight and is on a losing streak vs real fighters?"

IWAN, I was checking the ratings this morning to see where Sam Peter is since he called out Ruiz last night. I thought he may have an inside track on a title fight, but he does not.

Anyway, the WBC's number one contender at 154 is De La Hoya. The fact that he was not interested in challenging for the belt may have played a role in mandating Mayorga-Piccirello. I still dont understand how Castillejo was able to be "interim" champ for so long without actually fighting the real champ. FYI, Shane is the #1 contender for Zab at 147.

castillejo was champ for so long because he would have given the real champ fits but probably wouldn't win a decision. plus, he wasn't $$$ (high risk/low reward) and there was bigger money in bigger fights (mosley/dlh, mosley/wright) so he just kept collecting step aside fees

Rogie the only role in Mayorga being #1 is how much cash DK put in his peon Sulaiman's pocket to get him there.

The problem here is that these two crooks have a long, documented history of corruption. Just a couple of examples would be Sulaiman refusing to sanction a Julian jackson fight because of detached retinas and more importantly, Jackson refusede to resign with DK. Amazingly, when Jackson agreed to resign with DK, Sulaiman agreed to sanction a Jackson fight without having anymore medical records or any other reason medically to change his mind. When Chavez' contract ended with DK he tried to set up a fight with #1 WBC contender Roger Mayweather but Sulaiman refused to sanction it for some unknown reason. Months later, Chavez resigned with DK and the fight was sanctioned shortly thereafter.

Another blatant example is Sulaiman, after a closed door meeting with his pimp DK, decided to refuse to acknowledge Buster Douglas as champ after brutally KO'ing Tyson in Japan. Sulaiman claimed "a rule had been broken" but nobody knew what that was. Sulaiman later admitted in court under oath that he had used "poor judgement". I think we all would agree to that. Then, he tried to force an immediate rematch for Tyson. The problem is, it was against WBC rules because he stripped Leon Spinks of the WBC belt for rematching Ali.

Sulaiman is dk's bitch and always has been. To me it is simple. To be a #1 contender, you should have fought in that division and won at least you last fight. Neither of those hold true for Mayorga.

Obviously Oscar is going to be a WBC #1 because he pays them the most sanctioning fees. The problem is, Oscar is totally undeserving and it only furthers the obvious corruption of Sulaiman.

BTW I think even now that Shane pounds on and KO's Zab easily. Zab is no Winky Wright. He is a midget already fighting above his best weight IMO and would be no match for Shane. The problem is Shane is not going to be DK's bitch so I doubt the fight will ever happen.

IMO, and many of you know I have no history of being a Shane fan, Shane is the most underrtaed fighter in boxing right now. At 147 I think he beats everyone including Zab and Margarito.

Clemson has taken the correct and paid it off with a brown bag.

I agree with most of what Clemson has said but I don't know about Shane beating Zab amd Margarito. Shane seems pretty much washed up and has not looked good in a long time.

Margarito would eat Shane's lunch for him. Zab i think would be even money or better against him.
