Great quote!

Great quote from a marathon runner

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: Wow!! What a ride!"

haha beautiful

Nice!

"arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body"

That wasnt an option for me by about 18 unfortunately.

yflives - I doubt many HS counselors would be advising fucking your body up in the pursuit of enjoyment of life. I thought this was a good quote to counter the 'why would you put your body through that' type of question that MMA practicioners receive all the time.

Correct

It also goes along with:

"Why tiptoe through life only to arrive at death safely?"

I agree, it's a cool quote. I use to work with an old Vietnam Vet, biker guy who had that quote at the bottom of all his e-mails. He was a beer drinking, bike riding, bar fighting s.o.b. He also had a plastic nose because his real one had been broken so many times.

If you can't appreciate that quote, then it doesn't apply to you.

Yeah, I don't remember that one from the counselor's office.

logan, more like 'drugs are bad, mkey'

Micheal Jordan says, "Reach for the stars, and you will succeed. Reach for the drugs, and you'll be behind bars."
