from watching hundreds of fights over the years, in my observation, most fighters who take a groin shot and are dropped by it early on in the fight do not come back to win. of course some do, but it's a long road back in the fight.
for some reason, the sport, spectators, refs, fighters (most), separate a body shot knock down, and a groin shot.

in other words, continuing from this point is like giving a fighter a free knock down on you and then you're supposed to be okay with it.
although not etiquette friendly, the only way to keep the fight fair is to smash the other guys nuts hard enough to drop him in return--it's not a revenge thing, but a necessary equalizer to keep the fight fair imo.
i know it won't be viewed by most this way, but this is a reality that is spun into an unfair boosheet of doom.

I agree 100%. When a fighter gets a nut shot and quits people boo, I always disagreed with the booing. He should be given the option to quit and call it a NC or offered a free return nut shot

I've always thought that if I enter MMA, my strategy will be to nutshot hard at the beginning of everyround, simply because 3 nutshots may be a point deducted, but god damn will it be worth it.

Most horrifying nutshot i ever seen was Ola Silva's in the last Icon event. Forget the poor guys name that couldn't continue, and prolly not have kids. lol
What Ive never understood regarding the whole nut shot scenario is, when a fighter is losing a fight rather decisively they don't just load up and kick their opponent square in the balls. All you ever really get for the first one is a warning, and if you're all dazed or gassed you'll get at least a couple minutes if you get em square. Food for thought for you potential fighters out there.
So who gets to kick the other guy in the nuts? the ref? the angry fighter who just got nailed? How about one of the ring girls?
