GSP just said he could beat Khabib

Big Rig for a short while was hell on wheels and gave George a pretty good beating.

And I agree with others that GSP have many guys on his resume that would give Khabib fits.

GSP was fantastic at tailor making a game plan for each fighter. Khabib wouldn’t win a single round.

GSP would beat Khabib easier than everyone thinks

Waiting for @JackMerridew to come defend his God after he pulls Khabibs dick out of his ass.

Ok? Shonie had like 50 fights at that time if I’m not mistaken and Serra had like 5.

Agreed! It’s a no brainer! GSP has the size and all the skills to make Khabib look foolish.

Wasn’t that Serra’s UFC debut, and wasn’t he training very little striking at the time? Shonie was a motherfucker to deal with in his prime

Shonie had a pretty damn eclectic martial arts competition resume from what I recall. He competed in many different types of combat sports and I think he has a lot of MMA fights that don’t appear on his official record.

Didn’t he have a bunch of kickboxing fights too? Unconfirmed of course

Shonie is a mythological Canadian Martial Arts folk hero.

Khabib barely beat Gleason.

GSP got knocked out by Serra, subbed by Hughes, dropped by Condit and bludgeoned by Hendricks.

Only reason he’s saying this now is because he knows the fight will never happen.

Same when he was talking about being abducted by aliens.

You’re named after me for a reason, lill bitch :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Remember what that was?

and still till this day khabib hasn’t fought anything close to hughes or hendricks

GSP would have finished la quinta

Khabib barely beat Gleason and GSP got subbed by Hughes, KOed by Serra and barely beat Hendricks and retired.

All wins and losses are just one night. One night Hendo beat Fedor yet other nights he lost to Misaki, Lil Nog, Vitor, etc…

One night Randleman KOed Crocop and one night Crocop submitted Randleman.

Hindsight is never 20/20 yet people talk they know who wins in this retrospective prime vs prime arguments when its not possible to know.

It’s definitely a dream match up. I don’t think it would be as one sided as every thinks. I think GSP wins but don’t see him mauling Khabib. Let’s not forget George didn’t finish Dan Hardy or Jason Miller. Khabibs wrestling if different for everyone else he’s faced. Would love to see it.

+GSP tried to beat opponents in their element, strike with strikers, wrestle with wrestlers

Khabib was shooting into crotch even if he hurt opponent standing

A lot of people make declarations on match ups like this based on wishful thinking or personality preferences. I think I’d favor GSP aside from these considerations, but anyone who says Khabib wouldn’t have a chance is not being honest with themselves or is just silly. This fight definitely could go either way and despite what people say, Khabib beat total studs and none of them looked close to putting him in danger.

The Cro Cop-Randleman parity is so hilarious to me. The groundfighter on a two fight losing streak fights the rising striker who is knocking out everyone, and whose only loss is to Big Nog. The ground guy knocks out the striker. They fight again, the striker submits the ground fighter. You couldn’t make this shit up.

Yeah that’s true. GSP is the GOAT for me and I think he beats Khabib, but to say it wouldn’t be competitive is just nonsense.

Yeah it shocked the hell out of me watching it in real time, both fights.

Great example of why MMA at the highest levels is so easy to love.
