GSP taking more damage in recent fights

I was reading this article today:
http://deadspin.com/the-end-of-georges-st-pierre-1466179060

And it said Georges has taken:
"875 strikes in competition, per the official statistics, with nearly half—412—now having come in his last three bouts."

That means as seven years as a champ half of all the damage received to him was done this last year since his return from his knee injury.

He's a shell of his former self since he's come back from the injury. He needs to step away from the sport.

He fought two southpaws back to back. Phone Post 3.0

Id hardly say he's a "shell of his former self." He still beat Condit, Diaz and Hendricks within a year or returning from knee surgery.

But...........this Hendricks fight is another fight in which he said his vision was comprimised in a fight. Hendricks, Condit, BJ 1 and Shields? All those fights he got poked or had impaired vision. Also somehting to consider for him in deciding to continue fightng.

After this last fight his face probably looked the worst it's ever been.

I agree. When I watched the post fight interview I said; "He's going to retire right now." and he almost did.

he better retire before he has even more brain damage
